Jim Corbett - India's Oldest National Park

Established in 1936 to protect the endangered Bengal tiger, Jim Corbett National Park spans over 520 square kilometers of riverine belts, hills, marshy depressions, and large lakes. Situated in the sub-Himalayan belt, it is a haven for wildlife lovers and photographers offering a rich variety of flora and fauna.

Thrilling Jungle Safari Experience

The true essence of Corbett lies in its thrilling open-jeep safaris. Traveling through prime zones like Bijrani, Jhirna, or Dhela offers you the chance to spot majestic tigers, wild elephants, leopards, and over 500 species of migratory and resident birds in their natural, untamed habitat.

Garjiya Temple & Kosi River Bank

Apart from wildlife, the region is beautifully complemented by the gushing waters of the Kosi River. Visit the sacred Garjiya Devi Temple, uniquely situated on a huge rock in the midst of the river, and explore the nearby Corbett Museum to learn about the legendary hunter-turned-conservationist, Jim Corbett.

Frequently asked questions

The best time to visit Corbett is from mid-November to mid-June. The park remains closed during the monsoon season (July to October) as the roads inside are washed away, though some buffer zones like Jhirna and Dhela may remain open.

The distance from Kathgodam to Ramnagar (Corbett) is approximately 65 kilometers, taking about 2 hours by road. From Pantnagar Airport, it is around 80 kilometers (2.5 hours).

Jeep safaris require advance booking through the official government portal, usually 30-45 days prior, as permits are limited per zone. We can assist you in arranging these permits upon early request with full ID proofs.

Spotting a tiger in its natural habitat depends entirely on luck, weather, and the zone you visit (like Dhikala or Bijrani). However, the park is rich in other wildlife including elephants, leopards, and diverse bird species ensuring a fantastic wildlife experience regardless.
