The trek begins from Janki Chatti, leading you up a 6 km trail to Yamunotri, the westernmost shrine of the Char Dham Yatra. Here, pilgrims seek blessings at the temple dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. A vital part of the ritual includes taking a holy dip in the hot waters of Surya Kund and paying reverence to the Divya Shila.

Morning pickup from Haridwar Railway Station or your designated hotel. Begin your scenic journey towards Barkot via Dehradun and Mussoorie. En route, you can enjoy the beautiful view of Kempty Falls. Upon reaching Barkot by late afternoon or evening, check in to your pre-booked hotel. Rest and acclimatize to the mountain weather. Dinner and overnight stay in Barkot.
Start early after breakfast. Drive to Janki Chatti (approx 45 kms), the base camp for the trek. From here, commence your 6 km trek to Yamunotri Temple (you can hire a pony/palanquin at your own cost). Upon arrival, take a holy bath in the thermal springs of Surya Kund and perform pooja at the Divya Shila before darshan of Goddess Yamuna. After darshan, trek back down to Janki Chatti and drive back to Barkot. Dinner and overnight stay in Barkot.
After a hearty breakfast, pack your bags and check out from your hotel. Board your vehicle and commence the return journey to Haridwar via Rishikesh. The driver will drop you at Haridwar Railway Station or your desired point for your onward journey, marking the end of your auspicious pilgrimage.
